Here is one of my first articles written for one of my internships!

Bon Appetite
The Chinese cuisine will not be missed in China.
There may be no better way to really get to know a country than to first meet the people, but second and most of all, by investigating the cuisine. What a delight to enjoy the variations of food originating in China. It goes without saying that you might want to diet before your trip to China because you will want to enjoy all the Chinese delights that you can get your hands on. But what about the food you can’t seem to find that was second nature when grocery shopping in the USA?
When you visit China, you may be surprised when you sit down to breakfast. The traditional breakfast does not consist of bacon and eggs but instead includes, huājuǎn, mántou (steamed breads), shāobǐng (unleavened pocket-bread with sesame), bāozi (steamed buns with meat or vegetable stuffing), with Dòunǎi or dòujiāng (soy milk) or tea served in Chinese style as beverages. Now to someone new to this custom it may be pleasing to eat such an array of authentic foods, but what do the citizens of China really want for breakfast?
Unless you go to international chains, like Wal-Mart and Carrefour, you may have a hard time finding good old American food. Kevin Tilstone said “Many dairy products such as butter and cheeses” would be on the top of his list for hard to find missed American food. “Chinese alternatives are usually too salty or too sweet” he said. Philip Griffin let me in on a secret about not only food he missed but also the additions that make every long day better! He said “I miss good English pork/beef sausages, Marmite, strong cheddar cheeses and I find it a problem to buy Tonic water for my Gin”. Not only are these things good to have but some say it is also a difficult task to find good quality bread and water they can trust.
It’s interesting to think that although it may be second nature to pick up a 99 cent coffee at a convenient store, to others it may be a great rarity. China might be equally proud of their boasted culinary traditions, but for almost two centuries they were received by American diners in completely opposite ways. We have certainly moved past the days of no options, and are now looking to find out what is the recent appetite for authentic American cuisine in China. I think after talking to a few people I have found it, anything dipped in grease and fried multiple times. Mmmm!

Over Used Words in Resumes
I was reading an article that I found off of twitter about LinkedIn profiles and how people use the same words over and over in their resume for employers. While reading this it got me thinking, Do we really know what we are writing in our resume? Sometimes I wonder if people are just writing what they think an employer would want to hear instead of who they really are!
Kristin Burnham in her article (that I have also attached: http://tinyurl.com/22o2ce3) said that she would suggest uploading a live video feed to your profile on LinkedIn. I think this is a great idea! In a paper people can appear to be someone they arent, but when introducing themselves in a live feed people would be able to "read" the person's body language and other signs to see if they are truly sincere!
Now obviously not all sites allow you to upload a video feed to your resume profile, so my suggestion to you is to find a free web hosting site (if you dont know how to create your own) and make sure they allow video uploading. Then on your resume with the other sites urge the employer to visit your live video to see who you truly are and what your passion is about your career! I feel that this would put you and your resume on the top of the pile for the job witch you seek!
Don't forget to make sure you leave out words such as dynamic, motivated, results-oriented, and include words that will describe you as an individual, not as a person desperately seeking a position in their career! Keep in mind the 3 most important things during a career searching: Be found, Raise the employers interest, and Make sure to get contacted!

What is our future in Social Media Marketing?
If businesses aren't aware now nearing the end of 2010 that they must be highly educated and involved in social media marketing, then marketers in my opinion aren't doing their job! In order for us to be able to leverage technologies for business needs, we must be up-to-date on all the news and social trends around us. Now because of this, this is why some may wonder what the future brings.
A few things to keep in mind are:
Learn from our past history. We are currently seeing the same types of changes as some did a decade ago, and we need to be able to recognize these patterns to learn from them. If we continue to avoid the past and make the same mistakes we will never improve our position with businesses, thus possibly becoming obsolete.
Forget about De-Marketization. As soon as we are able to get people to realize that marketing and communication go hand in hand, and that we are using communication skills that people want to be reached by, we wont ever have this cross our minds again.
Methodology will never change. Facebook and Myspace are constantly changing, but the way that people communicate within them will always remain the same. They may change things to keep a greater appeal to its users, but marketing is marketing and that will never change. It wasn't that long ago that I remember beepers and faxing were the new top tool!
So can any of you predict what will become of social media marketing? Will it change with its tools or always remain the same?
